The Natural Rubber Industry of Sri Lanka is one that passes-down from the hands of its colonial inhabitants dating back to 1876. Today, long after its independence, the rubber industry of the country still reaps sustainable socio-economic benefits mainly from exports. Sri Lanka’s rubber industry is well established with many local and private sector entities pursuing this national crop.
