We, at ASR consider Research and Development as key to manufacture precise products for the latest & complexed requirements of the modern world.

ASR constantly works closely with all stakeholders by embracing challenges and develop strategies for different industries through R&D.

Today, we have brought together a proficient team of experts consisting of scientists and researchers to identify new strengths and opportunities in the production of rubber. Our team of experts work tirelessly in our 03 laboratories to craft rubber products that are not only workable, but are also long-lasting.

Our R & D Team is always busy with the perspective to satisfy the customer in every step, which are Pre-development, trial production, modifications, analysing expected parameters and finally commercial production.

This commitment has been rewarded by many achievements. Following are just only few of them;

• Patent for reducing N2 & Ash content in Latex using natural enzyme, which was a remarkable invention in the Natural Rubber sector.
• We obtained the approval to manufacture Technically Specified Rubber (TSR) in 1986 from Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka, and permitted to use the Standard Lanka Rubber (SLR) emblem for our products.
• We became the first ever producer of Superior Processing Rubber grades (SP/PA), Deproteinized rubber, MG rubber & Depolymerized rubber (LNR) in Sri Lanka, and we have successfully maintained the quality standards.

ASR R&D team commits itself to experiment minimum 3 grades including upgrading existing grades and developing new grades per annum. Above said experiments contribute to upgrade our production portfolio by updating existing grades and adapting new grades to keep up with the challenging global market.
